James Wilson-Knight

James is an author, illustrator and printmaker, originally from Manchester and now based in Cambridge UK. He completed his BA in Illustration and Animation from the University of Worcester. After this he worked in an independent bookshop, which cemented his love for illustrated stories. He graduated from the MA Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art in 2026. Using textures and negative space, James likes to work in colour and in black and white. Through printmaking and inks, he loves to play with tension, humour and meaningful moments from everyday life and the lessons they bring.
