Cara Matheson

Cara is a children's writer and former magazine journalist. She loves writing funny picture books, with a touch of the absurd. Two of her stories have been shortlisted for the WriteMentor Awards.

She lives in Greenwich, London, with her husband, daughters and registered therapy cockapoo, Scout (with whom she volunteers in schools as part of the Read2Dogs scheme).

Cara's debut picture book, Finding Floss, was published in 2023. She has further picture books publishing in 2026 and beyond.
